Our goal is simple: to guide you through the paperwork so you understand every step. We are not attorneys, but we are trained and experienced in handling legal forms with care and precision. We do not provide legal advice, interpretation, or representation in any legal matter. All information, forms, and materials are provided and approved are directly from the State of Florida.

Owner and Legal Document Preparer (LDP)

I’m a proud wife and mom, rooted in the Florida community my family and I call home. My husband is a U.S. Veteran and Law Enforcement Officer, and together we’re raising two smart, kind, and curious children. Helping others has always been at the heart of what we do, he serves and protects our community and I’ve worked on the legal side to guide and support people through important life matters. We both believe in giving back, staying involved, and setting an example for our kids to one day make a difference in their own way too.

Over the years, I have worked with attorneys throughout the Treasure Coast as their direct Paralegal. I’ve managed full departments in Elder Law Firms, working on numerous cases in estate planning, probate, and other legal areas. I have a deep understanding of the legal documents and processes that can often feel overwhelming or confusing.

I started Next Step Legal Preparation to make important legal documents accessible and easy to understand for everyone. I’ve seen many law firms overcharge, fail to clearly explain documents, and have long delays before even beginning a client’s case. Too many people struggle with complex forms, face extended waiting periods, or feel overwhelmed by high legal fees. My goal was to create a service that provides clear guidance, accurate documents, and personalized support without the unnecessary costs, delays, or confusion.

Important Note Before Reviewing Our FAQs We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice. All content provided is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for legal counsel. Our services are strictly limited to clerical document preparation based on the information you provide. We do not select forms on your behalf, offer legal opinions, or evaluate the legal sufficiency of any document. For legal questions, consult a licensed Florida attorney.

What qualifies us compared to an attorney?

Our team brings extensive experience and expertise in legal document preparation. We have completed numerous Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses, the same courses many attorneys are required to take each year. We focus on each area of our practice, ensuring we remain knowledgeable about Florida procedures and requirements. This ongoing training ensures we understand new forms, filing requirements, and procedural updates, which helps us prepare documents that are accurate, compliant, and ready for submission. It also allows us to answer procedural questions about the forms we prepare, so you feel confident in the process.

To learn more about the specific CLE courses we have completed, please feel free to contact us.

Can you file documents on my behalf?

Our role is strictly limited to document preparation at your direction. While we can assist with guidance on where and how to file documents, we do not represent you in court or submit documents to courts or government agencies unless explicitly authorized under Florida law, and at your direction. We provide clear instructions to ensure your documents are submitted correctly and on time, and in some cases, we can assist with e-filing at your direction.

What if I don’t know which document I need?

We have State of Florida forms available and can prepare them for you, as long as you provide clear instructions on what you are wanting to accomplish. While we guide you through the process, we do not give legal advice or select forms on your behalf.

Why should I pay for your services instead of hiring an attorney?

Our services provide a cost-effective, accurate, and efficient alternative to hiring an attorney for document preparation. We focus exclusively on preparing your documents correctly and guiding you through the process, without the added expense of hourly legal fees. This allows you to get reliable, state-compliant documents at a fraction of the cost of hiring an attorney.

We are also committed to giving back to the community by supporting veteran services, programs for children, and local charities. By choosing our services, you help us work toward this goal.
